Your topic relates to companion animal access to public transportation
To be effective, public transportation should meet the needs of all the public. Many companion animal owners may not have the resources to own a vehicle and must rely upon public transportation; by restricting access for owners with animals, that may mean animals do not get the care they need because owners cannot get to the vet. Or if an owner needs to make a long distance trip on public transportation, the owner may feel they need to relinquish their pet if they cannot find transportation. What about the public that is allergic to, or fearful of, particular types of animals, should their rights for safe and comfortable transportation be denied? Other countries have more generous regulations and some transportation modes in the US accept some pets with very strict requirements. Should US public transportation allow any and all pets so that companion animals can accompany riders on public transportation?
