The study of victimology is a relatively new endeavor. Starting in the 1940s, victimologists began studying how victim behavior could contribute to their victimization. The study of victimology evolved over time with the focus of victimology shifting to victims’ rights, how victims were treated in the criminal justice system, and how society responds to and treats victims. In this course, you were introduced to the victims’ rights movement, the theory and history behind this movement, different types of victimization, and how to prevent victimization.
Based on your knowledge and research, in a 20-page paper explore a victimology topic of your choice. You may select from the list of topics below or one of your own interest
