It is important that you choose a topic that is related to pathophysiology and is SPECIFIC. For example, the topic of cancer is too broad. You would need to choose a type of cancer to be more specific. The following topics must be specifically addressed in the research paper.
ONLY TOPICS NOT ALLOWED is TB and COPD. We will be exploring those diseases through our Discussion Boards.
Please briefly in one page OUTLINE the following information for your proposal:

Demographic information about the distribution of the disease-age, gender, socioeconomic, geographic.
Genetic links or markers associated with the disease.
Specific proteins, enzymes, cell structures associated with the disease if known. If not known at a cellular level, describe the impact at the organ or organ system level.
Current treatments and DESCRIBE HOW they work (on molecular level if known).
Treatments on the horizon and how they are proposed to work.

NOTE: In this class we are using APA format. 
Please include the references in your proposal that you will be using to write your paper. Remember you will be using APA citation methods.

APA Citation Format
Minumum number of references used should be 3. Books and articles are best. You may use a few websites too but they need to be scientific in nature. NOTE:What I want to add is that you will need at least three to five references.
One can be your book.
One can be website reference/wikipedia.
Rest need to be from be actual scientific articles.
