Present and discuss controversial aspect(s) of your topic from an objective position
Identify gaps or places for further research

Prepare a title page for your informative essay according to APA guidelines.
Outline your preliminary ideas for the organization, content, and sources you will use to complete your informative essay. Use the handout provided as a hyperlink in Week 3. This handout is designed to help those unfamiliar with outlining, but the handout is only for a 5 paragraph paper; yours will be a 5 page paper so naturally you will have to scale up and provide additional sections. Present the information and relevant sources (with proper in-text citations) for your informative essay. It is not necessarily the final outline you will use for the paper and will be subject to change as you conduct more research. It is intended to draw connections between paragraph organization and essay organization, to further your progress in organizing your essay, and to allow practice of APA format.  Please do ensure proper spelling and grammar when completing the assignment. Prepare the document in Microsoft Word, and submit it as an attachment in the link in Week 3. 

Construct your outlines paying close attention to:

Is the thesis statement effective and reflective of the topic and ideas presented?
Do the topic sentences and/or information planned for each paragraph support the thesis and inform you on the topic?
Are the paragraphs methods of development used appropriately according to the guidelines of the text?
Are the sources all up-to-date and academically credible?
Is the APA formatting correct?

3. Prepare a reference page in APA format in which you list all sources used to complete your outline or to inform you on your topic. Include at least two actual or potential sources.
