NURS 4380 Trends & Issues Elevator Presentation This assignment is going to be evaluated by two different rubrics:  Audio-Visual Rubric (used for grade calculation)  Effective Communication Rubric (used for accreditation purposes) BSN Student Learning Outcome: Employ effective oral, written, and technological communication skills when interacting with colleagues, clients, and the health care system. Goal/Benchmark: 95% of senior BSN students will achieve a minimum score of 4 on a 5-point scale on each element of the Effective Communication Rubric. Assignment: Scenario: You are on an elevator when the United States Secretary of Health and Human Services enters the elevator as well. You have 90 seconds to talk to the Secretary of Health about a topic in healthcare that you feel should be changed or improved. Assignment: 1) Submit a written transcript of your 90-second elevator speech. Include:     Title page APA formatting Two References Include a brief description of how you recorded and uploaded your speech with your written submission. 2) Submit an audio recording of your elevator speech.  Use “My Media” for audio OR use voice memo on cell phone to record your 90 second audio presentation.  Upload to the Learning Management System (D2L). Please ensure that your presentation is professional and covers an appropriate healthcare topic. Utilization of evidence/research should be evident in your presentation. Upload both the written document and the audio file to the dropbox by the due date.
