Thread: Much like God’s creation, medical terminology can be complex and difficult to understand; at the same time, it can also be simple and logical. Using medical terminology correctly is an important and precise process, but the terms may sometimes cause you to chuckle. Write about a career field that holds your interest, how medical terminology fits into that career goal, and how God has called you to follow this path. Consider the terms to which you have been introduced, and identify 1 that makes you smile and explain how you could use this to incorporate Proverbs 17:22 into your practice.
Reply: Respond to at least 2 classmates’ posts.

A cheerful heart is a good medicine. Joy is the inheritance of the Christian. The truth believed and lived will have a positive effect on the physical health of a person. There are time when the word Cancerous is use and some of the patient first reacting is that I’m going to die. I talk with patients and I tell them not worry about it because the doctor do not know whether it Benign not cancerous or Malignant cancerous. Talking with patients with a positive word, smile and having compassionate and allow them to tell you how they fell about the situation will make them fell better. I work in the health care field and I do believe that God has call me to do this work. Taking care of the sick is my passion and It is an honor to take care of someone. I have seem this in my career that patients who simply thought positive thoughts about their illness recovered much faster rate than those who did not. There are time when mature believers can fall into some sort of depressed state, me been a Christian I just give them a little reminder of the God the serve and how good God is. God bless those medical workers who bring cheer into the hospital environment. Their gifts along with their expertise has saved many lives.Top of Form

I am currently planning on pursuing a career as a physician’s assistant. Medical terminology would play a significant part in this career goal as it would be used every day when interacting with patients and other hospital staff as PA’s are permitted to diagnose illness, prescribe medications, and develop treatment plans. I was not originally planning on being a physician’s assistant, but this summer I spent two months working in a hospital in Ecuador and felt God calling me into this type of hands-on medical career. One medical term that makes me smile is, alopecia, which signifies baldness, but literally translates from Greek as fox (Jones & Cavanagh, 2019). I think it is important to remain cheerful and full of light when working in medical settings, like the idea stated in Proverbs 17:22, in order to continually spread the love of Jesus through our attitudes and prevent an area of healing from becoming too dark and heavy.
