Please use GOD’S MAN. other text is up to you. I also attached Eisner and McCloud so you can use either one to quote from.
Write your essay in response to one of the prompts below:
2. Closure, Movement, and Time Compare how two texts in our first unit (Gods Man,
Ruins, Walking Man, and Factory Summers) illustrate how characters and the story move through
time. In what ways are bodies depicted as physically moving? How do authors show time
passing? How do they make use of frame, point of view, and closure in order to illustrate
movement? And what do you learn from the the comparison. For this prompt, be sure to quote
from McCloud and/or Eisner to help define the terms you use in your analysis.
The Essay
All essays should include the following:
1. An introduction that includes a specific argument
2. Body paragraphs that speak to this argument and to each other
3. Direct quotations from the text that you use as evidence to prove your argument
4. A discussion of the text(s) that moves beyond class discussion.
The Format
All essays should be written in the following format:
12 pt font
Times New Roman font
Double-spacing between lines (except for the heading)
A heading in the top left of the page that includes your name, your class, and the due date
MLA citations for quotations (please use the Purdue OWL site as a reference, linked
here)
Please note: There should be no research for this paper, outside of the texts on our syllabus.
