For this assignment, imagine you are an expatriate manager for a subsidiary of a major company headquartered in the United States. You are preparing a PowerPoint presentation to brief the CEO on your plan to address the safety issues specific to the country (of your choice) where you are working as the expatriate manager.

In your introduction, discuss four concerns in the workplace: benefits, safety, health, and global security issues. List one issue for each concern listed.

Next, prepare a solution for each of the four concerns. Discuss how your solutions address the issues within the workplace. Discuss what would be the responsibility of the global leadership team.

Conclude your presentation with a summary of how you noted the needs of your global audience, how you will design and deliver the training for employees keeping in mind Geert Hofstede’s research about cultural differences, and your plans to assess its success.

Be sure to include clear and specific speaker notes for each slide. You must include a minimum of one image or graphic within your presentation. You must use at least two sources, with one being the textbook.

Your PowerPoint presentation must be at least seven slides in length, not counting title or reference slides. Adhere to APA style when constructing this assignment, including in-text citations and references for all sources that are used.

Ensuring that an organization is ready for an accreditation, licensing and/or certification is an on-going process not a one-time activity. It can be beneficial to utilize tools in order to define the process to ensure compliance with standards and guidelines and to gain commitment from the stakeholders by involving them in the process with specific responsibilities relating to their organizational areas and areas of expertise. There are two parts to this assignment to prepare a hospital for a Joint Commission Accreditation Survey. Note that although this is for Joint Commission a similar process can be used to prepare for a licensing survey or other accrediting body.

1. Open the document titled “Accreditation Survey Activity Guide for Health Care Organizations” by clicking on the link below. Review the document to become familiar with the areas that a hospital would need to assess in order to ensure organization wide readiness for a Joint Commission Accreditation Survey.

For this assignment you will review the section on Leadership and Data Use, page 85.

Based on the information provided in this section of the areas that the surveyor will review with leadership at the time of the survey, create an assessment document that you would have used to perform the organizational assessment for each of the eight areas in the Leadership and Data Use Overview. Include what information/reports you would have required and from which stakeholders. This can be done in a table or spreadsheet (see example below). See the list of possible leadership stakeholders below.

Tips: Also, this week we are learning how to get ready for an accreditation survey. This can be a very stressful event for any healthcare facility. However, the key is not to get ready when you have a survey coming, but to stay ready at all times. In your assignment this week, you are creating tables to help the facility get ready for Joint Commission.

In part 1, you are given an article to read. Go through this article to get an overall feel of what to expect during the survey. Pay particular attention to page 85 as this is the information you will need to complete your first table. On page 85, you are given topics that the surveyor will want to discuss. Your job is to create a table that will include the topics to be discussed, the stakeholder, the activity for preparation, and the outcome. Follow the example table given in the directions.

In part 2, you are given a checklist for Joint Commission Preparations. Go through the checklist and create a table of each preparation activity, the responsible leader, and what should be done for each activity. Your table should look like the example within the assignment directions.

Younger Family

The gives the perilous way to the Younger family to fulfill their dreams and live a peaceful life. Mama who is the widow of the Mr. younger wants to buy house and wishes to spend money on the career of her daughter. Walter is a materialistic man. He dreams to have a wealthy and extra-ordinary life.

Story so far. Younger family gets a check of $10,000 for the death of their father insurance policy. Now they are expecting to acquire their dreams. Walter tells the story on this site of their future to his son. He wants to have everything that he wished in his childhood for his son. He thinks he will provide every possible facility to his son that he had never when he was a child.

This story clearly expresses the wish to fulfill dream, where each has a dream and he wants to acquire his dream. This play also portraits the clear picture of our cultural legacy. We just look down upon the black community and behave like they are less prior.

Sentencing guidelines put people in prison for a gratuitous amount of time, which costs the taxpayers immensely with no tangible social benefit. Repealing minimum sentencing would allow judges to choose punishment that fits the crime and give less prison time to the non-violence of mandatory minimum sentencing, which would help reduce unfair prison sentencing and racial discrimination.

Conclusion

In conclusion the need for continuing to teach diversity and cultural awareness in society has proven to be beneficial in ways that used to be only neglected action. Learning cultural sensitivity will continue to impact minorities each day (Price, 2010). As cultural sensitivity is growing each day in society more individuals should continue to stay active in learning to assimilate themselves with a minority’s culture and build a better relationship with them. Due to variety of different cultures of minorities individuals will continue to be taught how to be culturally aware and sensitive.

Individuals are starting to become experts when dealing with instances of having to be culturally aware or culturally sensitive, in turn the barriers pertaining to understanding a minorities culture are starting to be eliminated. Depending on what the minority needs pertaining to their cultural norms and values it will determine what services and additional resources that will provided for the minority. Individuals can understand the both the minorities cultural norms and values, this will not only benefit the minority because they feel comfortable around the individual. The society will benefit because minorities will feel a sense of trust and they will become more productive members of society. Making it a stress free and happy society for all parties.
