Create a thesis and an outline on Education for Democracy.

I need help creating a thesis and an outline on Education for Democracy. Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide. An abstract is required. In this respect, it differs drastically from the present-day authoritarian education where only a few people make decisions on what and how students should learn and where education has become a monopoly of an elite minority. This is very well observed by Peace Pledge Union: “In democratic education, students have the power to make decisions about their learning because power is shared rather than appropriated in advance by a minority of people. Education, in its various forms, is authoritarian, since one person or small groups of people make decisions about ‘what to learn when to learn, how to learn, how to assess learning and the nature of the learning environment’.” (Education for Democracy). The purpose of this paper is to deal with the basic concepts regarding education for democracy with a special reference to Don Lorenzo Milani and his educational reforms.

It is necessary to have a clear cut understanding regarding the type of education propagated by Milani. Don Lorenzo Milani, regarded as one of the greatest Italian educational reformers, believed that the school system needs improvement and he stood for the freedom of individuals to choose the sort of education they needed. He brought about revolutionary changes to the educational scenario and it was he who brought about drastic changes in “the role of educator, denouncing the class nature of the educational Italian and proposing new goals and new tools that could actually meet the needs of the less privileged classes.” (Don Milani). Milani was against all sorts of discrimination in schools and believed that everyone has a right to learn. He held that education should not be something imposed upon students and he advocated voluntary participation from the students in the teaching-learning process. He was a great visionary who insisted that education should be learner-centered and it should be related to learner’s life and daily problems.

Create a thesis and an outline on The Core Competence of the Corporation.

I need help creating a thesis and an outline on The Core Competence of the Corporation. Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide. An abstract is required. Identifying opportunities in the external environment and adopting a pre-active response to changes in the consumer markets is a fundamental element in organizations developed around core competencies (Hamel and Prahalad, 1990. 1994). One example of this is the case of Preussag AG. Preussag had traditionally been a company focusing on logistics, information systems and ‘old economy’ business lines such as metal trading, mining and construction (Dittmann et al., 2008). In 1997 the company estimated that the ‘old economy’ business needs to be minimized as possible and that new diversified (or unrelated) markets needed to be exploited. In that year Preussag acquired the German Hapag-Lloyd corporation which specialized in cruises, travel agencies and airline services. The latter company-owned as much as 30% of the German tour operator TUI. Eventually, in 2001 Pressaug was renamed to TUI and almost 70% of its operations were in the tourism sector. TUI today is one of the most successful operators with profitable business yields and increased market shares. The entrance of the former Preussag into the tourism industry was largely affected by the exploitation and leverage of the company’s core competencies. Theuvsen (2004) states that the core competence of Preussag was the ability to vertically integrate unrelated businesses – particularly the company had proceeded into the acquisition of 17 different firms, all with successful results. In that sense, Preussag (renamed to TUI) focused on developing such networks and acquiring business firms that although may seem non – relevant to its core business, they eventually added significantly to its core competencies (Barnes, 2008).

A perfect example of a telecommunication services organization leveraging its core competencies in the attempt to diversify in other business markets is that of AT&T. The company established in 1984 has marked a successful performance in providing telecom&nbsp.services.

Modern Genocide in Darfur, Sudan.

Provide a 10 pages analysis while answering the following question: Modern Genocide in Darfur, Sudan. Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide. An abstract is required. So it starts with how the populace in Darfur mostly consists of two main Muslim ethnicities: non-Arabs blacks such as the Fur, Masalit, and Zaghawa. and Arabic tribes jointly called the Baggara. The Baggara are typically nomadic herdsmen while the non-Arabs are mostly sedentary farmers, so the antagonism for land and water resources has led to violent arguments between each other. It is not only verbal for North Muslim and Southern Christian territories that have been feeling the strain of the evident favoritism from the Arabic dictator. Things finally snapped for the two when the Islamic law was put into play in 1983, which had led to the Second Sudanese Civil War. It lasted until 2002 when a ceasefire was finally called.

Though the fighting had stopped, the government still refused to grant something more rational for the region’s population that resulted in the formation of two rebel groups called the “Justice and Equality Movement” and the “Sudanese Liberation”. They accused the government of being prejudiced against non-Arabs while favoring the Arabs. The tension started to get so severe that things finally came down when the rebel groups launched a surprise attack on government forces early 2003. The government was caught off-guard without enough troops to fight back in the region. [1]In retaliation, the government began a series of air raids that were accompanied by ground attacks from an Arab militia that they endorsed called the Janjaweed. Janjaweed consisted of Arab recruits from local tribes with the government as its backbone, though the Sudanese President Omar Hassen denied any connection between them.

The start of this is still debated, but the Janjaweed were said to have been unleashed somewhere around 2003, and since then, over 400,000 have died along with 2.5 million others driven from their homes. [2] The refugees are left without food and supplies with the constant threat of attack from the Janjaweed.

Write an Article on Father Tribute Speech

Need help with my writing homework on Father Tribute Speech. Write a 1000 word paper answering; From the first day I came into this world, he has been my side and never left. Despite all the things I have put him through, he still stood by my side as I grew up. He is the cornerstone of our home. In a family of three sisters and my mom, he is the pillar that holds us together.

Every living creates from my dog to fish is female. The way he manages to hold us together goes beyond words. Despite the hell my other sisters and I cause at home, I just don’t understand how he still manages to maintain his sanity as a kind-hearted man. His kindness is not only to us, but he extends to other people. I just don’t know why he treats us in a loving and caring manner all these days.

Despite living in a close neighborhood, he will still greet anyone he meets even when he does not know them. No matter the type of person or role you hold, he accords everyone with the same respect. At this age, I am becoming aware of the man he is and the person I am becoming because of him.

It is becoming clear of the sacrifices he had to make for our family’s sake. His care and love have shaped me into the person that I am today. I just thank God for sending a dedicated and caring dad our way. It is through his daily actions that I have learned the meaning of love. I also understand the true meaning of making sacrifices, hard work, and success. Apart from being a loving dad, he has become a friend to rely on. My mission is to be half the parent that my dad has shown in my life. Our dad has been a shield in our life while accepting the person we are today. Since childhood, he has shown immense support for all the interests we take in our lives. He has been there throughout the journey from boxing, dancing to tennis. No matter the time of day, our dad will be right beside us as a guide.

My dad played a critical role in developing my passion for golf. I just don’t know how I came to love the sport. As a child, I accompanied my dad on the golf course as I rode along with the golf cart. Each time I spent with my dad grew my passion for golf, which is the best golfer around. I saw how far he could drive the ball with each shot. At one point, while hanging with my dad at the golf course, I drew the ball farther than him. After taking his second shot, his show was still not close to mine. Despite my competitive nature, I will not let it happen again to give him pride. From that point, it was not about beating my father at his favorite sport. It was the moment I knew my dad was proud of me. I feel that my dad does not understand how much I appreciate him in my life, and all he has done for me. Every step of the way, my dad has been with me all through.

He has been through thick and thin with me. My father is the one that taught me how to walk and talk. He also guided me on learning how to ride a bike and drive a car. My father kept me motivated through each phase of my life, proving how proud he was of me. Many mind find such words as plain, but it means a world to me. My goal in life is to ensure that my parents are proud of me and never feel disappointed. However, I feel that my dad does not understand the extent I am proud of him. The way he always put our family first makes me feel proud of him. My dad is always there to lend a helping hand when I need him. His sense of humor makes me proud of him and how he uplifts everyone around him. He makes the family pull through even during thick times.

However, his childhood was not that rosy having to grow with a father only. Despite the challenges in his childhood, he still manages to be a kind-hearted man that supports his family no matter what. I am proud of the commitment to ensure every night I was tuck in my bed with a kiss on my forehead, wishing me sweet dreams. I just don’t know if he understands how much that feeling got me through the day. There are many reasons why I am proud of my dad with all the accomplishments in our life. Even with his age, I know there is much can achieve in life with each passing day. He did an incredible job of raising my other two sisters also. I want to thank him for all the love and support he has shown us each day, and thanks for being a wonderful dad.

My dad, Rich, is one of the best worlds in the world. My father has been with me through thick and thin each day. Throughout our years, he has always taken care of me. He has shown me the level of respect by making important decisions. He has shown me a level of respect throughout my life, and I correspond to them. In case the world was ending today, my dad would drop anything for our family. Every day above the ground, I find it a blessing for my background and me. I feel heavily blessed and proud to be granted such a gift in my life. I feel that this father tribute speech essay is the best way I can show my love for my dad. Even if I had it another way, I could never choose another dad in my life. The person I am today is because of the care I receive because of my dad. I don’t think of another life from this one. Apart from being a dad, he also doubles up as a mentor, hero, and friend.

Research paper on various learning environments

Need an research paper on various learning environments. Needs to be 8 pages. Please no plagiarism. These include personal mastery, mental models, team learning, shared vision, and systems thinking. As they discuss these issues, the authors point out the many ways in which learning organization is similar to current theories in Organization Development.

Throughout the remainder of the article, the authors go into great detail regarding the five elements of a learning organization. For example, they explain that personal mastery involves the identification of what is usually considered a life-long goal, and then the development of some means of measuring how close one is to reach that goal. The term ‘mental models’ refers to the way in which we think and act in our daily patterns. The authors quote Chris Argyris (1991) who claims that most people act according to flawed mental models based upon defensive reasoning. One of the strong similarities between learning organizations and organizational development is the concept of self-directed teams. Successful teams share eight common characteristics which include “a clear, elevating goal. a results-driven structure. competent team members. unified commitment. collaborative climate. standards of excellence. external support and recognition. and principled leadership” (Larson & LaFasto cited in French & Bell, 1995: 98). While the concept of a vision is not difficult to grasp, there is a shift in the approach in that it is recognized in learning organizations that this vision must be a synthesis of the various members of the team rather than the single vision of the individual leader. Finally, systems thinking introduces an entirely new approach to solving problems that don’t work to isolate and solve individual issues but instead attempts to take a broad view of the issues involved and finding a long-term solution that more effectively addresses the source cause.

Based on the information available in the article, the learning organization begins when members of a team begin to share their mental models in an open and trusting relationship with other team members.&nbsp.

Write a thesis paper on the topic aging with grace, secrets and lifehacks

Write 13 pages thesis on the topic aging with grace, secrets and lifehacks. The usual manifestation is a disturbance of functions including memory, thinking, orientation, comprehension, calculation, learning capacity, language, and judgment, and these may be chronic or progressive. This paper gives a brief summary of the book, my impression of the book, the strength and weakness, a comparison of the book with three journals, the lessons I’ve learned, and a conclusion.

Overall summary. Dr. David Snowden writes about a pilot study he had among the nuns in Mankato, Wisconsin associating educational level and age-related disabilities. This initial research gave him the idea of expanding his study to other convents and focusing on Alzheimer’s disease. In this study, the nuns (75 -104 years old) contracted to give access to their medical and personal histories and to donate their brain tissue after death to Snowden’s project.

Among the Catholic nuns. Snowden studied every nun in that community that had the same health care provided, living situation, and income status. Because he could do away with these factors, Dr. Snowden’s research can focus on which behaviors and attitudes most affect aging, especially mental fitness.

The Nun Study’s scientific findings are well outlined in this book. These findings include a) Better language abilities are linked to lower dementia risk. b) Diet and exercise are linked to healthy aging and longevity, and c) A positive attitude decreases the risk of age-related problems.

The impression of the book. Tracking the lives of 678 elderly nuns who are members of the School Sisters of Notre Dame to assess the effects of aging is not an easy job. It is clear that Snowden had become emotionally involved with his subjects to draw out the many warm and sympathetic anecdotes that filled the book.

Among the project findings is a clear correlation between a low rate of Alzheimer’s and high linguistic ability. Snowden has also found a positive relationship between the consumption of certain antioxidants (e.g., lycopene, found in pink grapefruit, tomatoes, and watermelon), an exercise program, and an optimistic outlook and aging successfully. Snowden’s human-centered and compassionate story gives many early insights.

Prepare and submit a paper on non-market factors crucial in emerging markets.

Your assignment is to prepare and submit a paper on non-market factors crucial in emerging markets. This is an interaction between the prospective customers and business partners which include forging alliances with the local production units.

The second core area constitutes the non-market factors that have a direct and indirect impact on the overall performance and operation of the firm. ‘These are characterized by 4Is: issues, institutions, interests, and information’1 (Baron, p2). Broadly they are the socio-political environment within which the firm has to operate and would be discussed later. The role of government regulations and the legalities involved play a very important part in establishing a firm especially if it is a foreign company. Political dynamics combined with the media, public opinion, and stakeholders are few other institutions that make up non-market factors. These are behind the scene elements that become very hot issues if not dealt judiciously and sensitively with foresight. Non-market factors, in emerging markets, become all the more crucial because of the sensitive nature of the new market potential and the volatility of the market forces.

Emerging markets can be defined as the new area with high income and where the demand for the product can be created with relative success. Cases of developing economies can be cited as an example. We would be analyzing these factors for their role and impact on the company’s marketing policies and strategies in such market conditions because market strategies need to be tailored according to the environmental conditions of the place.

In the strategy planning, the relevance of 4Is is due to the fact that they form the four pillars of market strategy for non-market factors. Issues, which might clash with the operations and performance of the company, must be addressed urgently. The institutions are defined as bodies that are affected by the issues, which may be local or national in character. Interests are the personal stake of the individual or groups, in the issues.

Write an Article on The Customer Service of a Public Sector Organization.

Complete 13 pages APA formatted article: The Customer Service of a Public Sector Organization. The departments of public sector organizations that are gaining the most important these days are waste collection and street cleansing for a number of reasons. Firstly, waste management is becoming an issue globally and there are drastic steps being undertaken to ensure that waste is properly collected and managed. For managing it, the pre-requisite is the proper collection. The pipeline of processes i.e. appropriate management and disposal comes next to the collection because waste is nothing good by any means to have warehoused or stored, it needs to be disposed on an urgent basis alongside waste cannot be left lying idle for long. So there is tremendous importance of its appropriate mechanisms and scheduling of collection. In addition, timely collection of wastage leads to cleanliness in town that has several other benefits such as a healthy environment, an attraction for foreigners (tourism and investment), etc. Secondly, road cleansing is also of extreme importance. Keeping roads cleaned not just keeps the environment and town cleaned but also extends the life of the roads by means of good maintenance. And again keeping the towns clean attracts masses to enjoy and adds to the beautification.

So far things seem pretty smooth because the jobs are well defined and so are the consequences to it. However, the problem arises due to the fact that in accordance with the rules of economics, there are limited or scarce resources. thus, the appropriate allocation is a mandatory action. Accordingly, there are limited resources for the waste management and street cleansing department as well in terms of machinery and human resource available. Consequently, it becomes difficult to have an eye on all the streets and places at the same time. Therefore, there is a need for public cooperation rather than criticism.&nbsp.So the problem here is making the public realize that there are constraints and making them feel that it is their responsibility to lodge complain once there is an issue, and wait patiently till it is resolved.

Discussion on Barriers to Learning.

Provide a 12 pages analysis while answering the following question: Barriers to Learning. Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide. An abstract is required. Also, the author will provide several solutions to each identified barrier to learning.

Organizational learning can be acquired through constant reading, listening, or even thinking. It is necessary for the growth and sustainability of an organization. The rapidly changing global market environment creates a tight competition among the local and international businesses. In order to cope with the business challenge that has resulted from globalization, organizational learning is recommended to help the organization in keeping up with the constant changes in the world of business. In line with the economic changes, new theories and learning techniques emerge almost every day. (Gephart et al., 1996)

Learning is not always effective because it is possible that a member of an organization would choose not to share his knowledge within the organizational team or subordinates. Sometimes, adequate training and other learning-related support are provided to the team but despite the high investment costs on training and time invested in teachings, many still fail to learn and be successful in converting the knowledge into actions needed in accomplishing the goals set by the organization. For learning to be effective, the organizational process of learning should be carefully analyzed, developed, monitored, and aligned with the innovative goals of an organization. (Cummings and Worley, 1993)

There are a lot of internal and external factors that could directly affect the learning capacity and efficiency of each individual and the organization as a group. As part of the study, the author aims to elaborately discuss the different theories behind the barriers to learning.&nbsp.Several issues in relation to the Knowing-Doing Gap, Argyris Action Science, Senge’s Dance of Change, and Psychological Limitations to Strategic Thinking will be carefully analyzed to give us a better understanding of why certain learning processes are more successful and beneficial to a group than the others. In line with the topic, the author will provide several solutions to each barrier to learning.
