Social Psychological Concepts in The Matrix – nursing homework essays

This assignment requires observation, a reflection of your experience, and the application of social psychological concepts and theories to your experience. In addition to including relevant information from your textbook, you should include at least three journal articles (must be primary sources) in your assignment. You job is to weave information from the textbook and your three articles into your essay writing a paragraph about the research without connecting it to your analysis/experience is not acceptable.

Formatting: These assignments should be 4-5 pages minimum in length, not including the title page. They should be double-spaced, typed in 12-point Times New Roman font, and use APA format and citations. Remember, if you provide a definition of a concept that you found in the textbook, then you should cite the textbook. Points will be deducted if these instructions are not followed. The assignments should be written in an essay format using paragraphs (i.e., not using bullet points or question/answer format). Quotes should be used sparingly, instead you are expected to paraphrase and cite your sources. You are allowed a maximum of two sentence quotes per assignment.

Grading Criteria: Your grade for these assignments will be based on your ability to 1) follow directions including formatting, 2) use correct grammar, spelling, sentence and paragraph structure, 3) fully address relevant issues in a thoughtful and coherent manner, 4) express a thorough and appropriate reflection of your experience or process, 5) effectively apply social psychology concepts and theories to your analysis, and 6) summarize and link research discussed in your selected empirical journal articles to your analysis/experiences. When reflecting on your experiences it is very important that you not only write about those experiences, but that you also demonstrate that you understand related concepts, theories, and research findings (i.e., analyze your experience from a social psychological perspective). Additionally, you should take an in-depth approach rather than trying to cram as many social concepts/theories as you can into one paper. I expect that you have edited your own work (re-read it, removed fluff, checked organization, etc.) and that you will complete the assignments in an honest manner. Assignments will be submitted to Turnitin.com to check for plagiarism.

Social Psychological Concepts in the Movies Assignment
For this assignment, you will watch a movie that is related to two or three social psychological concepts that you have learned about in this course (e.g., attributions, cognitive dissonance, schemas, groupthink, deindividuation, conformity, modern racism, self-fulfilling prophecies, etc.). You may want to view the film more than once. Read the general instructions section for formatting and grading information.

Your paper should include the following:

A description of the social psychological principles/theories that were at work. You need to be able to demonstrate that you understand the principle/concept or theory and that you can describe it in your own words.

A brief summary of the situation(s) in the movie in which the principles occurred. Remember not to get too caught up in your description here that is, the focus is on explaining the social psychological principles.

A discussion of why people in the movie behaved the way they did and whether or not they behaved the way that would have been predicted by social psychology.

In addition to including information from your textbook, you should include at least three journal articles in your summary.

Your paper may be on two or three specific occurrences that each demonstrated a different social psychological principle, on one specific occurrence that incorporated two or more social psychological principles, or the general theme of the movie, as long as it incorporates at least two social psychological principles. (If you write about the theme of the movie, however, make sure that you are not too vague; talk about instances in the movie that support your take on the theme of the movie).

For example, if you watched Spike Lee’s “Do the Right Thing” you could discuss 1) the movie’s general theme of prejudice, and 2) the specific incidence of rioting that occurs near the end of the movie. When discussing prejudice, you can talk about the outgroup bias that the various ethnic groups in the movie each exhibit, and how John Turturro’s character reduces his cognitive dissonance (that was created by being prejudiced against African-Americans yet liking Michael Jordan) by subtyping. When discussing the riots, you can discuss the deindividuation that the participants experienced as a result of a heightened sense of anonymity, and the situational power of conformity. However, make sure that you clearly explain how these concepts are demonstrated in the movie.

Be specific when writing this paper simply summarizing the movie or speaking vaguely about general social psychology principles without relating them directly to the movie will not get you a good grade!

I’ve included the textbook in the files. I would like a paper based on the social psychology concepts in Frankie and Alice. Chapters 3,4,5,6, 7 and 8 and their concepts most likely will relate to the film.

Integrating Agile and Traditional Project Management Methods – nursing homework essays

For this assignment, students will select a company that
they are familiar with either through

direct interactions or via research, and identify one of its
new strategies for the upcoming year

to build a new store”).

Students will define and describe a project that will help
to fully

traditional). Students need to justify

their selection of the PM method for the corresponding
task(s). In addition, students should

provide a list of recommendations that could help with the

Handling Stress as a Nurse – nursing homework essays

Discussion Question:
As nurses, we need to find effective ways to handle our stress.

*Explain how stress has affected you personally. (I do things to boost morale within my unit. I create little thoughtful gifts to uplift people. This helps me with my stress level).

*How do you manage stress in your life? (I try to prioritize what is important and get those things done first, then I work my way down the list. If I can’t get to everything, I make sure I have gotten the most important tasks done. I also make sure that I have incorporated some alone time, listen to music or do something enjoyable to make sure I don’t get overwhelmed).

*Are there other activities you could incorporate into daily routine to reduce stress? (I love to swim or be outdoors with the warm sunshine. In the winter, I do a lot of visualizing about summer activities. We always incorporate a winter vacation to a warm location to break up the winter).

Your initial posting should be at least 400 words in length and utilize at least one scholarly source other than the textbook.  Title and reference page do not count toward word count.

Bickley, L. (2017). Bates’ guide to physical examination and history-taking (12th ed.). Wolters Kluwer. ISBN: 978-1469893419.

A plan to study the truth – nursing homework essays

This week we learned how research designs are different and help us to objectively study nursing problems; the key is to decide which type of research and design will serve the purpose or intent to find a solution.

Reflect on your learning about Quantitative and Qualitative research; share two ways that helped you understand how they are different.

Choose one category of study design that you found interesting and describe; include what you learned about the design and how you believe it can help study nursing problems.

Refer back to your clinical nursing priority problem and evidence you located for your week 3 assignment: The nursing-evidenced practice (NEBP) committee has requested for you to make a recommendation to the team: Describe the type of research and the design that you believe would be the best way to study your problem. Discuss your rationale.

Executive Summary- Business – nursing homework essays

Synopsis of the Case: The content of the synopsis should present relevant background facts about the case under examination.
Relevant Factual Information about the Problem or Decision the Organization Faced: State the precise problem or decision the organization faced.  The section should include information that addressed the business issue under examination. This section should be no longer than a single paragraph.
Explanation of Relevant Concepts, Theories and Applications Derived from Course Materials:  This section should be the bulk of your paper. Analysis of the business problem or decision in light of the course concepts must be presented, as well as the business lesson another organization could learn from this situation. Besides citation to the text, learners must conduct research in the University library related to the top. Citing the textbook only is not enough to demonstrate you understand and can apply the course objectives. Here is where comparative and contrasting positions should be considered and examples and illustrations provided.
Recommendations: Provide logical recommendations to address the business lesson identified above. The recommendations need not to be specific to the organization examined, but should consider how other organizations, if similarly situated, could lessen the impact of the problem or decision identified. Recall, that the organization under examination has already moved pasted this problem so any recommendations made, at this point, are fruitless. The focus of this section should be on what other companies should be aware of to address similar problems or decisions. Citation to the textbook alone is insufficient for analysis in this section. Learners should conduct research in the Universitys library to support their positions. Depth of scholarship is not demonstrated by providing personal opinions alone, but by using examples, analogies, comparison and illustrations from the academic literature. Not only does this synthesize the material to assist the readers understanding, it is an effective way to present the academic sources and extend the discussion of your ideas. This section should be a paragraph or two.
Alternative Recommendations: This section is not a continuation of the prior. Provide suggestions for how to avoid the problem or decision the examined organization faced. Analysis here should be may be forward- thinking, predictive or, most likely, preventative in nature but tied to the thesis statement. Again, opinion is insufficient to provide the required academic analysis. Sources, other than the text, must be provided to sustain the statements made. This section should be a paragraph, at most.
Conclusion: End the assignment with a summary of the important points made in the document. No new information may be presented. Writing a conclusion can be done by rewording the opening or reformulation the topic sentences of each paragraph to make a summary for the reader. This section should be a paragraph, at most.

Gram Stain

In this lab, you will watch an instructional video from Khan Academy, a summary video, and then do two simulations.  The first simulation is a case study and it walks you through the gram stain.  The second simulation has you go through the gram stain on your own.  You will submit a lab report covering the last simulation (the items are listed in order of viewing).  However, you will use information from the first three items to help with the introduction section and the methods section of the lab report.
Your hypothesis for this lab is:
1) A gram-positive bacteria will be purple.
2) A gram-negative bacteria will be pink.
