Task:
Scenario 1 (3 team members):
Team Member 1 might produce a report that covers the Organisational Analysis for Section 2.0. Team Member 2 might produce a report that covers the Task Analysis for Section 2.0. Team Member 3 might produce a report that covers the Person Analysis for Section 2.0.
Scenario 2 (2 team members):

Scenario 3 (2 team members):
Some other combination. It is up to you – you may decide to split one of the areas (especially if a team of 2) into two – ensuring all three areas are covered by the team!
1.Title Page
Make this attractive. Include proposed training program title, Course Name & Code, Tutor Name, Your Name and Student ID Number, Due Date, Submission Date, Word Count for your submission.
NB: No Executive Summary or Table of Contents required for Task 1
2.Organisation and Context
2.1.A brief background to the organisation (name, location, size and history)
2.2.An organisation chart (not included in word limit) showing the structure/design of the organisation and highlighting the position and trainee that is the focus of the training program
2.3.A brief summary of the key issues identified in an external environmental analysis (i.e. industry analysis utilising PESTEL and SWOT). HINT: Include your tools for analysis in the report body (tools not included in word count). The important outcome of the external environmental analysis is the summary of key issues (2 or 3) that you identify are affecting, or could affect, the organisation.
3.Training Needs Analysis
NOTE: This section will be different for each team member depending on WHICH areas of analysis your team has decided that YOU will focus. When identifying the NEEDS (training and non-training) use Table Format (which will not contribute to your word count). Be sure to discuss and justify the resources you used to gather your data for each area of analysis.
3.1.Organisational Analysis
In this section you will Identify and analyse the mission, goals and objectives; training resources, social influences; reward systems; performance management; and other relevant methods and practices (HINT: Refer Table 3.3 p. 130 of text).
You will then identify organisational needs (gaps) and categorise these as either Training Needs (classified by KSA) or Non-training Needs
Report format continued over page
3.2.Task Analysis
In this section you will determine what is required of employees in the job to be effective. Identify and analyse the tasks required for the person to perform their job, consider the job description, job specification, performance standards, role of job from multiple perspectives; social influences; reward systems; job design; job performance; and methods and practices (refer Table 4.3, p. 119 of Blanchard & Thacker – see Week 3 additional reading in ‘Course Readings’ on Blackboard).
You will then identify task needs (gaps) and categorise these as either Training Needs (classified by KSA) or Non-training Needs
3.3.Person Analysis
In this section you will identify and analyse the individual employee (the ‘person’) to analyse the Person Characteristics, Inputs, Outputs, Consequences and Feedback related to their job (HINT: Refer Figure 3.3 p. 132 of text for important considerations).
You will then identify individual needs of the person (gaps) and categorise these as either Training Needs* (classified by KSA) or Non-training Needs.
