We expect you to answer each question as per instructions in the assignment. You will find it useful to keep the following points in mind. 1) Planning: Read the assignments carefully, go through the Units on which they are based. Make some points regarding each question and then rearrange them in a logical order. (1.5 Marks)

2) Organisation: Be a little selective and analytical before drawing up a rough outline of your answer. Give adequate attention to question’s introduction and conclusion. (1.5 Marks)

a) The answer is logical and coherent 

b) It has clear connections between sentences and paragraphs 

c) The presentation is correct in your own expression and style. 

3) Presentation: Once you are satisfied with your answer, you can write down the final version for submission. If you so desire, you may underline the points you wish to emphasize. Make sure that the answer is within the stipulated word limit. (2 Marks)

Provide a statement explaining your own personal code of ethics. Include at least 4 codes in your answer with enough explanation and examples. Refer to concepts learned in class or in the textbook and link them to your justification.

In addition, discuss whether personal code of ethics could clash with organizational ethics. Some people believe, that personal ethics and organization’s ethics are two different and unrelated concepts. Others, believe that personal ethics should be applied to organization’s ethics. Is it possible that our personal beliefs and ethics are applicable to our work? Discuss.

Conclusion

The individual sections on “The Ethics of ____” will not be expected to be comprehensive in nature and thus do not require any outside research. I would simply like you to give a brief explanation of the ethics of the philosopher in question covering some of the basic issues we covered in class. How does this philosopher define happiness? What are some of the major pitfalls to attaining happiness for this philosopher? What issues need to be worked out or balances need to be maintained in order to attain happiness as defined by this philosopher?

A good thing to do with regard to these descriptions is to search for a one sentence thesis statement that describes each ethical theory. For example: “Mill’s theory seeks to bring the greatest amount of happiness to the greatest amount of people.” Start your section on each philosopher in this way and then delve into some of the other questions. Please do not make these descriptions into one long critique. For you really do not have the credibility to critique a philosopher until you demonstrate that you, at least to some extent, understand their thought.

I suggest you write the body of the paper first and then write the “My Reflections on Ethics” section afterwards. A good way to go about this is to simply answer the classical question of ethics (“How can I live the good and happy life?”) for yourself incorporating some of the ideas from the 7 philosophers you choose to write about in the main body of the paper. Then write a conclusion and, after everything else is done, write a short introduction to the paper.

This sort of paper will require at least 6 pages and might go as long as 10. The key points to keep in mind are: follow the outline, it is a reflection paper and not a research paper, and write the body of the paper first and the introduction last. I will grade the paper on form, content, and originality. The criteria for form is in the syllabus, the information for content is in your mind, notes and the Readings In Classical Ethics book, and the originality is within each one of you. Remember to take the time to reflect upon the material and to be confident in your own voice.

This paper is due in the first week of November (on the day we cover Manning’s Ethics) and shall be turned in through Canvas.

Scrum Master is responsible for performance reviews

The organization you work for implemented Scrum a couple of years ago. By using Scrum, many things have changed: new roles, events, and processes. Something that has stayed the same, are the annual performance reviews, for all the employees.

To respect the Scrum Team’s autonomy, they have asked you to conduct these reviews. This means it’s up to you to discuss the individual performance with each team member. Did they achieve their personal goals? Do they deserve an increase in salary? It’s your call. 

You’re expected to have the individual performance reviews next Sprint.

If you would conduct the performance reviews, how would this impact your relationship with the Scrum Team? How would it change your role as a Scrum Master? How would it impact the Scrum values?

Psychological assessment guides are created by psychology  professionals to provide the public with accurate and authoritative  information appropriate for their current needs. Information available  to the public about psychological testing and assessment varies widely  depending on the professional creating it, the purpose of the  assessment, and the intended audience. When professionals effectively  educate the public on the how, what, and why  behind assessments and the strengths and limitations of commonly used  instruments, potential clients are in a better position to be informed  users of assessment products and services. The Assessment Guides  developed in this course will be designed to provide the lay public with  accurate and culturally relevant information to aid them in making  informed decisions about psychological testing. Students will develop  their Guides with the goal of educating readers to be informed  participants in the assessment process.

There is no required template for the development of the Assessment  Guide. Students are encouraged to be creative while maintaining the  professional appearance of their work. The Guide must be reader-friendly  (sixth- to ninth-grade reading level) and easy to navigate, and it must  include a combination of text, images, and graphics to engage readers  in the information provided. Throughout their Guides, students will  provide useful examples and definitions as well as questions readers  should ask their practitioners. To ensure accuracy, students are  expected to use only scholarly and peer-reviewed sources for the  information in the development of their Guides.

Students will begin their Guides with a general overview of  assessment, reasons for assessment referrals, and the importance of the  role of each individual in the process. Within each of the remaining  sections, students will describe the types of assessments that their  readers may encounter, the purposes of each type of assessment, the  different skills and abilities the instruments measure, the most valid  and reliable uses of the measures, and limitations of the measures. A  brief section will be included to describe the assessment process, the  types of professionals who conduct the assessments, and what to expect  during the assessment meetings.
