Discussion: Ways of knowing

Directions
After reading the assigned Readings and Resources, describe a patient scenario (fact or fiction) when all the types of ways of knowledge were used (personal, empirical, ethical, and aesthetic).  Then describe how learning about the ways of knowledge will assist the professional nurses in practice. Make headings for each element of the assignment.

Introduction
A good introduction begins with a few general statements about the topic. In addition, an introduction also has a purpose statement so the reader will know what will be presented in the paper. One example is: The purpose of this paper is to describe a patient scenario and detail how the ways of knowing were utilized in the care of the patient. 
Patient Scenario
Remember a paragraph has at least three to five substantive statements. There is no reference required in this section. 
Personal & Empirical
In this section, reference what the assigned readings have to say about personal and empirical ways of knowing. Some of your own words should be included in each paragraph (references required).
Ethical & Aesthetic
In this section, reference what the assigned readings have to say about ethical and aesthetic ways of knowing.
Some of your own words should be in each paragraph. 
How ways of Nursing Helps the Nurse
In this section, reference the assigned readings on how ways of knowing help nurses in their role. Some of your own words should be used. 
Conclusion
A good conclusion summarizes the main points in the paper and should include two to three paragraphs. No reference is required.
