– 1950s was a very traditional time with everyone living a same common hardworking lifestyle. – 1960s saw rebellion in form of hippie movement, opposition of Vietnam war and youth entering the political scene. Social environment of that era – In 1960s sense of uniformity was prevalent where everyone followed cultural norms – 1960s is now considered to be one of the most divisive social decade in US history. – The generation and political gap was increased.
