You have been writing for a while now, probably since you first entered kindergarten!  gather some items that you’ve written (we’ll call them artifacts!) to analyze the situations that you write in. 
Gather the artifacts
You will need to identify three (3) pieces of writing that you have done. They could be assignments, letters, emails, texts, social media posts, etc. You will want to use one of these later as Project 1, so be thinking about the stories that surround this piece of writing. Choose some amazing ones! 
Write a quick paragraph about each
Tell me the story of each writing artifact: how old it is, why you wrote it, who you wrote it for, etc. We are going to dig into the rhetorical situation of each piece!
